STRATFORD UPON AVON

Literally hundreds of investigations have been undertaken at the property (see Haunted Experience on You Tube as one example) and Most Haunted Live. Although many towns and buildings have claimed to be "the most haunted in...", this building's long and turbulent history and a number of vortexs said to be sited on the second floor (through which a number of 'non-grounded' spirits are said to visit regularly), as well as paranormal activity reported to us on a daily basis, it is understandable that the Shrieve's House has been given the reputation as being "...the most haunted building in England". This is not the claim of the owners but of Terry Deary of Horrible Historiesfame, who dedicated his latest book 'Stratford-Upon-Avon' to the Shrieve's House and a certificate from the Wiccan Insitute "in recognition of a greater amount of paranormal and spirit activity than any other building/site".

30 spaces available.

 20 -04 -2012

21.00 - 02.00

Anstey Hall was built in the late 17th Century by Anthony Thompson. In the second half of the 19th Century, the Hall was considerably enlarged with the construction of the East Wing. In 1909, the Hall was enlarged still further and extensively remodelled internally. After the war, Anstey Hall was purchased by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) and used as offices. In 1997, Anstey Hall was purchased by the current owner, John de Bruyne. The Hall has since undergone extensive renovation to return the property to it's former charm and glory
